Vesal “Sal” Deva has spent his life perfecting the art of Northern Italian cuisine and sharing it with communities across New Jersey, now he brings his skills to our community.

Chef Vesal pursued his passion for food in Italy, where he studied culinary arts. After years of honing his craft, he brought his expertise to the United States, introducing authentic Northern Italian dining to Woodbridge, New Jersey.

​

 

Over 30 years, Vesal along with his business partners owned and operated Ristorante Venezia, a beloved local establishment known for its exceptional dishes and warm hospitality. His dedication to quality ingredients, classic recipes, and genuine service made the restaurant a cornerstone of the community.

​

 

Now, Vesal is bringing his experience and creativity to Carteret, New Jersey, with the opening of Sal’s Bistro and Bar, located at 1 Louis Street. The new restaurant will feature a menu of Italian-American fusion dishes, fine dining, cocktails, kids’ meals and more.
